Visitor Intelligence

Find out which companies visit your site, who came back, and what they were looking for.

Visitor Intelligence turns anonymous traffic into a list of the companies visiting your site, what they looked at, and how often they came back. You can also choose to look up the people who gave your site a work email.

Why it matters: your sales team can see which companies are interested, and what they care about, before anyone fills in a form. They can follow up with the right message at the right time.

Before you start: the Analytics script is installed. Visitor Intelligence works from the visits it records, so it needs the Analytics script as well as the Guidance script.

Open it from Visitors in the dashboard.

Run a scan

On the Overview tab, start a scan. 3Guide reads the networks your visitors came from, finds the company websites behind them and cross-checks the evidence. A scan takes about two hours, and your plan sets how many you can run each month.

See which companies visited

The Organisations tab lists each company the scan confirmed, with a Strong, Partial or Weak match and the evidence behind it, such as the company network or the domain of a work email. Open a company to see its sessions, top pages and how it found you.

Most visits come from home and mobile networks. These stay anonymous and aren't matched to anyone.

Ask questions

The Questions tab answers common ones for you, such as Which companies visited?, Where did visitors come from?, Which entry pages drew the most visitors? and Which visitors returned more than three times?. You can also ask Visitor Intelligence your own question.

Optional: look up people

Person lookups are off by default. When you switch them on, the next scan looks up everyone who gave your site a work email, for example by signing in or by telling the chat. Their profile shows their name, role, seniority, company, LinkedIn and other public profiles.

  • People are only looked up from work emails they gave your site. Disposable addresses are skipped.
  • Add your own Apollo.io key in Settings → Integrations to improve the matches.
  • You can refresh or delete a profile at any time, or delete them all.

Privacy

Person lookups process personal data. Turn them on only if your privacy policy covers it and you have a lawful basis (for example under the GDPR or Nigeria's NDPA). Company-level results don't identify individuals.
